U.S. Republican Party held a preliminary vote for the future presidential candidate during the elections of 2012, Associated Press transmits.

As it turned out in the calculation, the majority of votes were for cast member of the House of Representatives Ron Paul, which has received 31% votes of the respondents. Second place held former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney; he received 22% votes. Former governor of Alaska Sarah Palin won 7%.

Voting was conducted among Republicans on the conference's conservative political action. In total, the event was attended by about 2.5 thousand people, representing about a quarter of all participants.

R. Paul is an interesting candidate himself. Now this politician is a member of the House of Representatives from Texas. In 2008 he claimed the nomination for the presidency from the Republicans, but lost to John McCain.

In addition, R. Paul is benevolent forwards withdrawing U.S. troops from Iraq, U.S. withdrawal from the UN and NATO and the elimination of the FRS.

It is worth noting that the results of the vote do not affect the fate of the contenders in the presidential candidates from the Republicans, as it was an informal vote.

No matter what other people would say about Obama,I will always be one of his supporters.I know how dedicated he is to his work and that will always be one of his best traits as a President.Obama has met with a variety of world leaders and people of import, so one can be a bit puzzled by the fact that the President had a meeting with pop singer Shakira. At first, my instinct is to mock him mercilessly for meeting with pop stars instead of getting work done, but she is very active in early childhood development causes worldwide, and she has done a lot of work for children's charities. She was in Washington DC on the behalf of ALAS, or the Fundacion America Latina en Accion Solidaria, a foundation that works on behalf of children in poverty throughout Latin America. It's a foundation that deserves a few payday loans worth, at least.
